Baptism in our Parish

Baptism in Mt Beauty, Dederang and Tangambalanga take place during regular Sunday Masses upon request,  OR. Please contact our office manager Sonni. 

Pre-requisite:

Baptism Preparation Evening are held the first Tuesday of every month. Parents of children to be baptised are required to attend a Baptism preparation evening prior to the baptism; as it is a pre-requisite in our parish. Godparents are also welcome. For more information, please contact our office manager Sonni.

The Purpose of the preparation Evening

• Let you know what is involved
• Receive any forms require for the Baptism to proceed
• Give an opportunity to talk to others having their children baptised
• Present some ways of connecting further with the parish

Baptisms take place on the 1st and the 3rd Sunday of each month at Sacred Heart Church, Wodonga.

 

Welcoming

To show that Baptism involves entry into a parish community, there will be a welcoming at Mass on the 1st Sunday of the month for all children who are going to be Baptised. Parents are asked to present their children to a welcoming Mass before their Baptism. For Baptisms of school-aged children, or adult reception into the church please contact The Parish Centre.
